Click on the web address attached to go to the activity for today. Click on the shape and discuss the animation. It splits the composite shape into rectangles and shows how to find the lengths of the sides where lengths are not given. Click ‘next’. Work out the perimeter of the shapes on the screen. Discuss the different ways you can split the shape into rectangles and use your knowledge of rectangles to work out the missing lengths of sides. Enter the most common answer, then click ‘check’. Repeat with the next shape.
