Phew! We survived week 1! It's been absolutely fantastic having the children back, and they have certainly enjoyed seeing each other!
In Maths we have gone back to basics and looked at the four operations, as well as rounding. The children have retained really well, but lots of silly mistakes have crept in- hopefully we can iron these out over the coming weeks! It's algebra next week, so that should be interesting!
We have looked at a lovely story called the Barnabus Project in literacy. The children have really enjoyed listening to it, alongside the various arty projects we linked to it (finishing up with a comic strip).
Our topic until Easter is Art- we are looking at tartan design and have been learning about it this week, whilst also designing our own tartan patterns!
