Literacy Homework

This week we have been learning about non-fiction texts.

For your homework, we would like you to share some facts about something that you know lots about.

You might know lots about an animal, a sport or a country… or something else!

You can record your information in any way that you like. You might make a poster, write a list of facts or record a video!

We are excited to see your work and to learn some new things from you!

Maths Homework

This week, we have been finding out about halves and quarters. We found out that when a shape or amount is split in half, it is split into two equal groups. If a shape or amount is split into quarters, it is split into four equal groups.

For your homework this week, we would like you to show us some halves and quarters around your home. For example, you could (with the help of a grown-up) show us an apple cut in half, or you could find ten 1p coins and show what half of that amount would be. You could get some biscuits and show us them shared equally between four people, or you could show us a pizza split into quarters. It is up to you! How many halves and quarters can you find?
