Our learning
This week we have been recapping 3D shapes and looking at their properties. WE have been comparing those that stack to those that roll. We have also investigated the faces of 3D shapes and discussed which types of shapes the faces are.
We could see that the cylinder has a circle face on either end, but by drawing around our shapes we were very excited to discover that the curved face of a cylinder is actually an oblong.
In literacy we have been writing a non-chronological report on elephants. We have used subheadings to help us organise our facts into categories.
