Year R at Manea Community Primary School

Our two Year R/1 classes are located in the new part of the school building and have an excellent learning environment for children to spend their first year at school. The learning that takes place in this environment leads to children making excellent progress in this foundation year and prepares the children exceptionally well for the start of KS1. There is a successful transistion plan in place each year that supports children moving from pre-school into Year R and for the Year R children to move into Year 1 with the children in Year R already working closes in the mixed classes with our Year 1 children.
