Week commencing 9th November 2020
In Literacy this week we have started looking at the mummification process in preparation for us to write instructions. We learnt the process and worked together as a team to role play it. We had a lot of fun. We then tried to mummify some tomatoes. We will see how they turn out next week or the week after. Ew!
If you want to try this at home, we used the instructions below.
During Oracy this week, we were learning to develop the role of 'The Clarifier'. This is when we ask more questions to help us understand what is being said. These questions could be, "Can you give me more information about that?", "What do you mean?", "Why is that?"
We used pictures to practise this. One child in the group had to describe an object in the picture and the rest of the group needed to ask questions requesting more information about the object so they could try and guess the object correctly.
