Our learning this week...
This week the children have been practising for their class production. They have worked hard to learn their lines and entrances and exits. We have also been learning the songs.
In English, the children have been practising using the past tense and learning irregular verbs. This will lead them into their next topic of 'Recounts'. In maths, the children have been practising mental strategies for addition. They then moved on to looking at written strategies for addition before, finally, solving word problems.
The children have enjoyed playing outside during our breaks and lunches.
