Literacy:
This week both year groups have been applying their descriptive writing skills to describing dragons and settings. They have wowed us with their use of adjectives, adverbs and the power of three.
Mathematics:
The children this week have been working hard during their maths sessions. The Year 1 children have been using their fraction knowledge to divide shapes into halves and quarters. The Year 2 children have been continuing with division and applying this knowledge to finding the inverse of a multiplication sentence.
Foundation:
In foundation this week the children have been learning about tempo and dynamics in music. They have been following some complicated rhythms and applying tempo, fast or slow, and dynamics, loud or soft, to create some dragon drumming music.
