Maths
This week in maths we have been learning and practising counting in 2's. We have looked for patterns in the numbers that feature in the 2 count. We have also learnt that the numbers in the 2 counts are called even numbers.
In year 1 the children have use 2p's to apply and count in 2's. Year 2 children have been representing amounts of 2p's as repeated additition and multiplication sentences.
Over the course of the last three weeks we have enjoyed using coins to help us apply our knowledge of counting in 2's, 5's and 10's.
Literacy
This week in literacy we used out letter writing skills to write our Christmas cards to our families. We then wrote letters to Father Christmas and wrote our Christmas wish lists. We have had a wonderful first term in Cherry, Beech and Elm and we can't wait to do more learning next year.
Foundation
What a creative time we have had during our Foundation sessions this week! We have been putting our Art skills to the test to make some super Christmas surprises for our families at home. We hope you enjoy the things we have made!
