The children have come back really well, and we've been very impressed! As you can see from our new display board, we have started a new book called 'The Promise'. The children have done a great job of doing presentation work based around the vocabulary, prediction and inference skills they have been learning. Next week we will start looking at more specific skills based around the book.
In maths we've been looking at the dreaded fractions! Although they got off to a slow start, the children soon turned it around and managed to prove their understanding over the course of the week. We will carry on this topic next week too, and are confident the children will be fraction pros by the end!
Our new topic subject is Science, and we are looking at Electricity. The children had the opportunity to get the circuits out and see what they could remember, and they showed off some very effective deduction skills!
