W/C 21.9.20

We are cruising our way through to the mid point of the Autumn 1, and the children are really starting to settle down and find their feet, which is lovely to see!

In maths we have tackled rounding and negative numbers. Although parts of it were tricky, they knuckled down and showed a good understanding. The next step is being able to apply these skills to their tests, and we are sure that will improve in time.

In writing we looked at the book 'Voices in the Park'. The children loved trying to find all the hidden details in the book, and have been inspired with their writing. We are really trying to grow their love of interesting vocabulary, and hopefully next week we can see that blossom!

For Topic we carried on our work on Ancient Egypt, learning about the death and eventual discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun, along with Egyptian homes- they got to design their own!

The weather hasn't been ideal in the back half of this week, so for P.E. we did one sessions indoors and practised our speed stacking... and even tried it with our eyes closed!
