Literacy
This week we have all taken part in the Young Writers Poetry Competition. We thought about Spring time and used our senses to describe the season. We then wrote our poems up in neat, with our best handwriting. We have also started our new text, The Three Billy Goats Gruff.
Maths
Year 1 have been comparing numbers using more than, less than and equals. They have also been ordering numbers to 20.
Year 2 have been working on their multiplications and have been making equal groups and writing repeated addition number sentences.
Topic
Our topic this week has been History. We are finding out about famous explorers and why people want to explore. We have found at about Sir Edmund Hillary, Idn Battuta, Sylvia Earle and Neil Armstrong. We have also found out about the special equipment they would have needed for their explorations.
