This week it is Elmer's birthday!  We have been reading a new story and using this as a basis for setting our own challenges.  We have worked hard on our comprehension and prediction skills with the different Elmer stories and enjoy thinking up new ones for him!

We have decided to create Elmer a present - a new patch for him.  Instead of using paint and pencils we have decided to sew him a new patch.  This is a completely new skill for most of us and also quite tricky.  We have persevered and want to improve even more.

In other areas of learning we have been applying all our phonic and keyword skills to read and write sentences, as well as complete phonic challenges in our busy learning. In maths we have been learning about odd and even numbers which was great fun!
We have also continued with our balance bike work and have even been creating our very own obstacle courses!
