Literacy:
This week in Literacy we have been continuing to practice using adjectives to describe. The children began to explore fairytales and we read Goldilocks. The children have been applying their skills to both guided and independent writing and have been using adjectives, noun phrases and the power of three.
Maths:
In maths this week we have continued with our place value knowledge. The children have applied their understanding of tens and ones to solving missing number problems and ordering numbers. We have also used this knowledge to solve greater than and less than problems with the help of a few crocodiles!
Foundation:
This week we began our Science unit and we have been learning to identify a range of plants and trees using clues to help! We spent time exploring the school grounds and identified the trees we found. The Year 2 children have been learning about what plants and trees need to grow and we are very excited to see if the seeds we planted will grow.
