Literacy:
This week in literacy we have been reading How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth. The children have been learning all about imperative (bossy) verbs and have been following and reading instructions to support their understanding.
Mathematics:
This week the children have continued to learn about fact families and how to record them. The children have spent a lot of time showing their understanding of what a fact family is and how to write one. The Year two children have begun to subtract numbers crossing ten.
Foundation:
This week the children have been investigating Christmas decorations. They have spent time discussing how some decorations are made. They then investigated the best way to join two pieces of fabric together. They then spent some time practicing some sewing stitches.
