Week Commencing 15th March 2021
What a wonderful second week back!!
The children have had a wonderful second week back at school, it's like they have never been away and they have settled in really well.
In our learning this week, we have been looking at shapes that have been translated, rotated and reflected in Maths. We have been looking at organising text from our oral discussions, debates and arguments in Literacy. Our wellbeing has followed on from the book 'The Failed Project'. We have been looking at friction for our topic work in Science, where we carried out an experiment outside. See some pictures of this below. We have also been doing some practical work for our History Topic, by making some wonderful soup with ingredients that the Anglo-Saxons would have used. In our soup we used parsnip, turnip, onion, garlic, butter, milk, sage and vegetable stock. We peeled, chopped and measured our ingredients. Many of the children enjoyed tasting the soup. Please see some pictures below.
