This week we are going to focus on statistics!
https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/interpret-line-graphs-chk38d
We have covered line graphs to an extent so far, so let’s deep dive into them today and make sure we understand all aspects of them.
You know the drill: watch the video, pause and do the questions she sets, and then do the worksheet afterwards.

LO: Understand Mnemonics
What is a Mnemonic? You may have encountered them before in learning the order of the colours of the rainbow: Richard Of York Gave Battle in Vain.
It’s a handy tool for remembering the order of something. We are going to look at creating one to learn the order of the planets!
Look through the Planets PowerPoint to learn the basics about each planet.
https://www.teachingideas.co.uk/earth-and-beyond/ordering-planets look here for some examples of mnemonics for the order of the planets.
Create your own mnemonic for the order of the planets and show it off in a creative way, such as a poster.

Then watch this video and marvel at the universe!
Reading
This week we are going to work on our skimming and scanning! Each day will be tasks based around you reading a text and finding keywords or information.
Remember, when reading you keep the keywords in your mind and look for them, rather than reading every word.
Complete the space facts sheet, in which you need to scan the text and answer the questions.

LO: Understand Anglo-Saxon food
We aren’t quite done with the Anglo-Saxons just yet! For the next couple of weeks we are going to focus on the food. It’s a simple one today to start with.
Look through the PowerPoint and complete the sheet, in which you plan a menu. The worksheet can be found on the second page of the PDF in the resources section
