Literacy
Year 1 have been writing a recount of their half term. They have worked on including a range of sentence types and using the conjunctions But, Or, Yet, So to make their writing more exciting. Year 2 have been working on poetry and have written their own versions of Down in the Jungle. They have also been learning performance techniques and have performed the poem for the rest of the class.
Maths
Year 2 have focused on Place Value this week and have been working incredibly hard on reviewing their knowledge of tens and ones. They have used part-whole models and Base 10 to represent numbers in different ways. Year 1 have been working on telling the time and have been reading times to the hour and half hour.
Topic
This week we have begun to learn some of the songs for our summer production. We have also enjoyed our Sports Day!
