Happy New Year!

The children have come back to school as enthusiastic learners.  They have carried out phonic and writing activities with confidence and it was a pleasure to see.  We have had some sad news that Beegu is returning to her family at the weekend so we are showing her how to look after your friends so she can share the information with her own planet.  In our diaries we have worked hard writing a sentence.  We have used 'I got a' to start our sentence and then finished it with our favourite Christmas present.  Mrs Attrill was very proud of our handwriting and Mrs Stevens was amazed with all the sounds that we could hear!

We will be focussing on our oracy this week - working with our friends to complete a rocket for Beegu to travel home in within the large block area - we will share ideas and listen to our friends.

I our art session we are looking hard at the shapes and colours that we see when we create portraits of Beegu so that we can remember her.

A busy week!
