In this lesson you are going to write the opening to your newspaper report, using your notes from yesterday. The above lesson shows how to calculate the are of composite shapes, using what you already know. You can watch the lesson as many times as you like to help with your understanding. Once you have watched the video try completing the sheets below. You can re draw the shapes at home so you don't have to print off the worksheets. 

There is a worksheet and a challenge worksheet. Please complete the first worksheet before you go onto the challenge - if you choose to accept the challenge! This way we know you understand calculating the area of composite shapes.
