As you will have seen from the main school's weekly news, we want to extend an area for forest school once the new build starts. We have been lucky enough to have had a donation of grass seed from Skylark Garden Centre to help us prepare the area and work has begun! We have been very busy clearing and raking the area and are now ready to lay the seeds. We hope that with the long Easter holidays and some rain, that we will see some grass growing when we return! Please see the photographs below of all our hard work.
In other learning this week we have been developing our sound knowledge, using digraphs and trigraphs to help us in our reading and writing. We have been set very tricky challenges and have also been writing our recounts. In maths we are developing our understanding of length and height - taking part in different activities to show our understanding. We have listened to a story from the bible and then mixed colours to create our own Noah's ark. During our work on Noah's ark we have been retelling the story and discussing what happened and the meaning of the story. We are very proud of all our hard work and have discussed what we think we have worked hardest at, persevered and what we are looking forward to doing after Easter.
Please see the home link document above with useful information to support learning at home and if you require any further information, please email pineclass@manea.cambs.sch.uk.
We have had an email from Zog, asking us to collect his nest as he is visiting a park in the Easter holidays and wanted to use it there. We have put it all on a trolley so that Zog can move it carefully and have left him a note to inform him of what we have done. We wonder what he will find out and see in the park...........
Look at the wonderful work we have created for Zog this week
