A message from our key worker children

Still image for this video

Hello everyone,

Well it has been another busy week full of wonderful home learning from all of you in year one.  It has been lovely getting lots of updates, photos and videos of all of the work you have been doing.  Check out the photo reel below and see if you can find any photos of you and your work, and look at the amazing things that your friends are also producing. We really are a great year 1 team!!

This week all of our learning it based around VE day.  In your maths you can recap some of the measuring skills we were learning about previously and try to make some wartime recipes.  There is also a Morse code pattern for you to look at.  Can you and your families make messages for each other and decode them.  In our literacy you can…

In literacy, can you make a fact file, and read and make some yummy war time recipes.

Our foundation work includes History, Art, Music and PE. There are lots of YouTube links this week and we hope you enjoy all the different challenges we have found for you.

We look forward to seeing photos and videos of all of your VE day celebrations and work.

Remember that as well as the activities on our class page there is also Stories with Mrs Johnson, Cooking with Mrs Kyne, Forest school at home with Mr Lenton and the newest addition is PE with Mr Tull… have a go at this week’s trick shot challenge with your family. Just go to the class pages tab on the website and scroll down (past the year 1 page) right to the bottom to find all of these new challenge pages.

Take care, stay safe and keep smiling J

Miss Denton and Mrs Johnson.
