Week 29 of the world's longest half term is now over, and just one more to go! We have been selling pyramids whilst using our Estate Agent skills, and we clearly have some keen future sellers! The children worked hard to address the issues that might involve owning a pyramid, and laid on the good stuff nice and thickly.
In maths we looked at multiplication and word problems. The children picked it up nice and easily, and were keen to try out 3 digit x 3 digit grid method questions! Furthermore, we practised the 6 times table all week and everyone improved quite considerably!
In the afternoons we decided to torture the neighbouring classrooms by breaking out the musical instruments. The children wrote a religious chant to a certain Egyptian God, and then put accompanying percussive instruments to it... to varied degrees of success! Unfortunately the camera malfunctioned so no pictures this week, which is a shame as it was quite the sight/ sound!
