Harvest Celebration Week in Reception
This week it is all about celebration. We are helping Farmer Duck celebrate having his own farm. We are talking about what we could help him with - perhaps a new machine to help him with his work, perhaps a robot, some food, or some flowers to grow. We have planted our own herb garden to use when we create potions and are also making lots of playdough party food.
We are learning some new songs - one is called 'John Brown's Tractor' which is very funny!
In our maths we are continuing with sorting - finding matching pairs - this has involved sorting out the farmers socks and shoes. In our phonics we are working hard on the new sounds we have learnt and also reading a new book - Kipper's diary. We are then creating our very own diaries to use after half term.
Please see the home link information below with some useful links to support learning at home. If you require any further information then please do not hesitate to speak to Mrs Stevens or email pineclass@manea.cambs.sch.uk.
We are very proud of how the children have settled into the school routine and how hard they work. Thank you for all your support and have a great half term!
