Literacy:

In Literacy this week we started our new text, The Foggy Foggy Forest, the children looked at rhyming sounds and enjoyed matching and writing rhyming sounds during thier busy learning. The children also used their descriptive writing skills to describe a picture form the story by using adjectives.

Maths:

In maths this week the children have continued to apply their place value skills. They have been partitioning using part, part, whole models. They have been building representations of numbers using concrete methods such as numicon and dienes. And they have been clearly showing their understanding that a two digit number is made up of tens and ones.

Foundation:

In foundation this week the children have been learning how to colour mix using powder paints. They then used this skill to create self portraits of themselves. The children also used their art skills to create portraits of Queen Elizabeth II.
