This Week in Fir Class...
It has been a lovely final week of half term, with lots of time out in the sunshine!
In Literacy, the class completed and edited their suspense stories, based around the video ‘Alma’. Most of the children have made some noticeable progress in the quality of their writing. I’m sure we will continue to see improvements during our final half term.
In Maths the class have started work on scaling numbers. This was a tricky concept for some, but by the end of the week we got there!
We finished our Guided Reading text ‘Truckers’ this week. We also completed our unit in French on habitats.
The afternoons at the end of the week involved rounders on the field, which has become a favourite for the more competitive amongst us. And finally, we were able to celebrate the end of half term with our class treat (pictured below).
Have a fantastic half term break!
