Our wonderful clay dragon eyes
In our learning walk this week we have been talking about the new characters in our story. We talked about making a new castle with windows for Gadabout the night and even cut the wood in our building area. We decided to create pancakes for Princess Pearl and then acted out Zog flying around, trying to find creatures to help. We even wanted to help mermaid, lion and the unicorn - creating hot chocolate and a fire in the forest school kitchen area. Our own story was then created where Princess Pearl used the hut as her castle, it needed tidying up because the blue dragon had made a mess! What wonderful learning!
We have also been learning new sounds and applying them in our phonics games, writing our diaries and discussing favourite parts of our story 'Zog and the Flying Doctors'. In maths we have been ordering numbers to 10 and playing games which we answered using our number fans.
We have also been creating our own dragon eyes using clay. We will wait for the clay to harden and then bring them home.
