Maths in the woods
This week in Maths we have been learning all about quadrilaterals. On Thursday, we applied our learning in the woods!
First, we had to use some string in groups to make quadrilaterals.
Next, we collected sticks and threw them in a pile on the floor. We looked for what shapes we had made, we were really good at spotting the different types of triangle too.
Finally we were set the challenge of creating a picture. We could choose the topic... but it had to include at least one square, oblong, rhombus, parallelogram, kite and trapezium.
