Our new story is very exciting, it is all about a treasure hunt. Percy and the animals have a great adventure during a treasure hunt and have found us a treasure box to investigate. It is full of old toys! We are investigating these to find out how they work and how they are the same or different to toys that we use now.
We are also creating our own 'toy from the past' it is a doll. We are finding out how to join without using glue or sellotape!
In our phonics we are working with new sounds - digraphs and we are reading and writing words using them.
In our maths work we have been finding pairs of numbers that total 10. These are called number bonds and we have a fantastic game to play at home too.

Special Book Day Celebrations
As part of our world book day celebrations, Mr Lenton had organised for us to take part in a story telling workshop. This was to investigate and retell the story 'Where the Wild Things Are'. We had a visitor in our school who shared the story with us and then helped us to recreate the story using dance, drama and expression. It was wonderful! We acted out the main parts of the story, did a rehearsal and then a performance. We then discussed our favourite parts from the story and asked Mrs Stevens to put the pictures on our webpage. Mr Lenton is also creating a page to explain this further.
