Literacy:
This week we have written our letters as Little Red Riding Hood. We have thought about the different features we need to include and have tried to write in our best handwriting. Next week, we will publish our letters in best.
Maths:
Year 2 have been focusing on symmetry and completing shapes using a mirror line. We have also sorted 2D shapes based on their properties.
Year 1 have started their shape topic and have been looking at naming 3D shapes and their properties.
Topic:
We have continued our computing topic and have been thinking about different digital devices. We have thought about what devices can do and have labelled pictures of our chosen device. We have also ordered the invention of electrical devices on a timeline.
Nativity:
On Friday 15th, Year 1 children from Elm and Cherry Class and Year 5 and 6 performed their Nativity 'Donkey for Sale' at the church. The children all worked extremely hard to practise their singing and speaking parts and put on a brilliant show. A massive well done to all of the children in Year 1, 5 and 6 and a huge thank you to all of the staff that helped put the nativity together and to the friends and family that supported us!
