What can you do with this number?  Can you say the number that is before it, one more than, one less than, can you add two numbers together to make this number?  Can you count objects to this number?  Can you write this number.  Can you share out this number of objects between 2 people equally?

Activities:

 

  • Read the story with your grown up
  • Draw your own ‘monster’ and label it
  • Measure the different feet in your family – who has the biggest?  The smallest? 
  • Collect socks from your family – order them from longest to shortest
  • Create your own monster – use lego, blocks, playdough, boxes, mud, a cake!
  • Keep your monster fit by teaching it to do star jumps etc
  • Show your monster how to play games on the computer
  • What else can you create for your monster?
