Please find below this week's homework. Each activity can be completed on paper, so you don't have to print the attachments, you can just simply view them.

Some of the homework has been split into cool, medium and spicy. This means you can choose the homework that you will find challenging but not too hard. Remember, if you have completed the homework and you found it too easy then try the next one!

Reading

Please ensure you are reading at least 5 times this week. An appropriate length of time to be reading for is 15 minutes - 20 minutes. Remember, you can complete an AR test the next time you are at school on the book that you have just read.

Writing

In preparation for your non chronological report writing next week write about a place that you like, using expanded noun phrases. Expanded noun phrases are when you place adjectives before the noun.

The place you may write about could be your home, the beach, the park, the forest, the fairground or a Grandparent’s house. Anything you like! Then choose one of the challenges below, to challenge yourself in improving your writing.

Cool – Write sentences using capital letters and full stops about your favourite place. Remember, to use as many adjectives as possible.

Medium – Write two paragraphs about your chosen place with those expanded noun phrases.

Spicy – Write a description of your chosen place, splitting it into smaller paragraphs and using appropriate sub-headings.
