We are so very fortunate as we are situated in the heart of the very attractive Manea village. Our staff attend local village committees for:-
-The Pit committee
-The Manea Memorial group for those people who dug the Ouse washes
We always aim to keep well informed of any developments in the village and to be an active part of fundraising for our community. We take part in:-
The grand summer Manea Gala. A wonderfully successful village event held on the village field.
Our children dance there and we have built floats with other village representatives. Our year 6 pupils are the Prince and Princesses for the Gala float.
The Christmas fayre, where we have a stall in the village hall and our choir sing to the families and friends.
We visit the parish church for our whole school Christmas celebrations and different classes visit to enhance their curriculum throughout the year. The school also has links with the Methodist Chapel where even our head teacher has taken part in Ready Steady Cook to support in raising funds.
