Literacy
Year 1 have been working together to sequence pictures and write a set of instructions. They have been using lots of imperative verbs and have even edited their work with a blue pencil. Year 2 have been creating persuasive adverts for their very own smoothies. They have thought about using alliteration, adjectives and rhetorical questions.
Maths
Year 2 have been focusing on their multiplications and becoming more fluent in their 2, 5 and 10 count. They have also had fun building arrays in the outside area. Year 1 children have been working on position and direction and have made instructions for finding their way out of a maze.
Topic
This week we have started our new topic, RE. We are looking at why books are special and how stories from different faiths can help people. We will be focusing on stories from Christianity and Judaism over the next week.
