This week, the children have continued to learn about Greek myths. We have watched six short stories now and the children have learnt about the conventions of a Greek myth. We then talked about whether the endings were happy or sad. The pupils started to plan their own Greek myth based on the characters and setting they had created. In maths, we have been looking at graph work and the children plotted their own bar graphs.
Of course, this week has also been British Science Week and the children have had lots of fun learning and making things. We talked about the history of science week and learnt about some of the key innovators. We then examined some inventions, before making our own. This invention was something to protect people if a volcano erupts. We made shelters and then we erupted a volcano to test our inventions. We have had a lot of fun. We also had a visit from the Life Bus.
