This week we have started our new writing unit, Narrative, based on Hansel and Gretel. We have read and responded to the Anthony Browne version and compared it to other versions of the story we have heard. We then created a story map to show the beginning, middle and end.
Maths
In Cherry and Elm classes, we have been focusing on Time. We have ordered the days of the week and the months of the year. We have also been telling the time to the hour. In Beech class, we have completed our Statistics unit. We have created tally charts, block diagrams and pictograms. We have draw these and answered questions, interpreting the data.
Topic
Our topic block this week is History. Our topic is Hospitals and Healthcare and we will be learning about the importance of Florence Nightingale and Edith Cavell. We have studied images of hospitals and healthcare workers from the past and present and compared these.
