English:
This week we have been planning our Narrative stories based on the Traditional Tale of Hansel and Gretel. We have used a Boxed-Up template to plan which details we will keep the same, and which ones we will change. Next week, we will write our first drafts before editing and publishing our stories.
Maths:
In Elm and Cherry classes we have been consolidating our learning on place value and addition. In Beech class, we have been learning about Position and Direction and describing movement and turns.
Topic:
This week we have been learning about Florence Nightingale and Edith Cavell. We have thought about their significance to modern hospital care and why they are still remembered. We also enjoyed sharing our End of Year production with our families. We shared all of our talents and our favourite memories from the year.
