Learning to Read Two Syllable Words.
Get an adult to model reading these words below that have two syllables.
chicken, tonight, boatman, rooftop, farmyard, market, lightning and bedroom.
Look at the picture of a sea scene. Can you label items in the pictures e.g. shell, fish, shark.
Practise reading these sentences:
The farmyard is full of pigs and cows.
Lightning might hit a boat tonight.
Rats run on the rooftops in the dark.
