Our first challenge this week was sent to us from Baby Bear. He had heard how wonderful we have been during our first few weeks of term and how we had learned to use all the activities in our environments. Baby Bear had never seen big blocks and wanted to know how these were used. So....... as a team we decided to use the blocks to create some things for Baby Bear. We then worked in our groups to create...... the Robins made the most amazing aeroplane that would soar very high. The squirrels created a car that could fly and the Badgers and hedgehogs decided to build caravans and a camper van. We worked hard together and are beginning to listen to the ideas of our friends.
In other learning we are being investigators this week... we have to investigate objects that the bears have collected and discuss the texture that we feel. In maths we are sorting according to size and our new letter sounds this week are i,n,m,d.
Please ensure that you are using the links on the phonic section of the home information document to support your child with their phonic sounds as they are working very hard in school.
Please see the home link document above to support consolidation of learning at home and if you require any further information, please email pineclass@manea.cambs.sch.uk.

Baby Bear sent us a Yoga session all about his friend the Polar Bear!
