WB:5.5.25

In English, we began exploring the features of diary writing in preparation for writing our own diary recounts. Year 1 focused on identifying facts and opinions, while Year 2 extended their learning by looking at rhetorical questions and how to use exclamation marks to show emotion throughout pieces of information on The Great Fire Of London.

In Maths, Year 1 continued developing their understanding of equal groups and have been able to create thier own which they very much enjoyed. Meanwhile, Year 2 explored unit and non-unit fractions, and even began to understand equivalent fractions!

In Science, we’ve been learning more about plants. This week, the children were excited to plant their very own cress seeds and will be observing how they grow over the next few days.

Take a look at some of our fantastic photos from the week!
