English:
This week we have started our Place Value of Punctuation and Grammar unit. We have been looking at nouns and the difference between common and proper nouns. We have been spotting nouns around the classroom and have drawn and sorted our own nouns.
Maths:
In Year 2, we have been looking at number lines. We have drawn our own number lines and counted in intervals of 1 or 10. We have also been comparing objects using language of greater than, less than and have introduced the symbols < and >.
In Year 1, we have been comparing numbers using the words of more/than less than have started to use greater than/fewer than.
Topic:
This week we have started our Science block topic. We are looking at Everyday Materials and have been exploring their properties. We have also used adjectives to describe their properties and have thought about objects made from these materials.
