W/B 21.10.24

Wow, what a busy last week Year 1 and 2 have had! On Monday, we performed our Harvest Assembly to you all which was amazing! Thank you so much for coming and listening to all of our wonderful songs. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

English:

Within our English lessons, Year 1 have recapped subjects, verbs and leftovers within sentences to begin. Towards the end of the week, we had an Autumnal picture where we had to look at the different action verbs the animals were performing. We had bears pushing veg in a wheelbarrow and a fox holding an umbrella. Year 2 have been looking for verb phrases within a sentence, whilst also looking for leftovers. We were also able to identify capital letters and full stops within the sentences.

African drumming day:

On Wednesday, the children were able to participate in an African drumming workshop with Martin. It was so lovely to be able to learn how to play the drums and sing along to well known songs like twinkle twinkle and the wheels on the bus.
