English:
This week we have been planning and writing our setting description of Rapunzel's tower. We have explored expanded noun phrases, similes and prepositions. On Wednesday, we planned our description and used bullet points to help organise our ideas. We then wrote our descriptions on Thursday, trying hard with our presentation and handwriting.
Maths:
In Cherry and Pine, we have been continuing to explore numbers to 20. We have partitioned our numbers, drawn them in Base 10 and have used equipment to build representations of each one.
In Beech class, we have been using money to add different amounts. We have used different coins to make £1 and have even tried finding change!
Topic:
Our Geography topic this week has focused on Hot and Cold Places. We have found the polar regions on an atlas and have thought about the different animals we might find there. We then moved on to look at desert regions and how cacti are adapted to these dry environments.
