English:
This week we have continued our work on Lists, Labels and Captions. We started the week by writing packing lists for Traction Man and his Beach Odyssey. We then labelled a picture of some of our favourite toys. We finished the week by matching captions and then labelling a new friend for Traction Man.
Maths:
In Year 1 we have been counting back from 10 and finding 1 less than a given number. We have also been comparing groups of objects.
In Year 2 we have been partitioning numbers up to 100. We have been using Base 10 to represent our numbers and have been flexibly partitioning them into part-whole models.
Topic:
Our History Topic has finished this week and we have had lots of fun discovering how Toys have changed over the last 60 years. We looked at photographs and pictures of toys from the past and thought about the similarities and differences to toys today. We also discussed which toys we would like to play with.
