Foundation

Thank you so much for your advice about how I can take care of my pants, I’ve been following your advice and my plants are starting to look much better!

This week I’d like you to find out about how plants grow.

What stages do they go through to go from a seed or a bulb to a healthy, adult plant?

Have a look at this story.

You could have a go at some planting of your own to see for yourself how seeds or bulbs grow into adult plants. Cress seeds and broad beans both grow quite quickly!

You could draw some pictures to show how a seed or bulb grows and the stages that it goes through.

I have added some cards with pictures of the life cycle of a plant, you might want to have a look at them.

Literacy

This week I would like you to write a list of the plants that you can see in your garden or when you go out for a walk. You will need to use your brilliant phonic skills. You will need to sound out your words slowly and carefully.

Maths

This week you are going to be practising your addition skills.  Have a look at the document below, it has some addition problems on it. You don’t need to print anything off. You can just write them out and have a go. You might like to use some little items such as stones or buttons to help you with your calculations.
