How to find books using Oxford Owl

Websites to support your children at home during a period of closure

 

Many providers of resources are offering their support during this time. Your class teacher may link you to some of the documents that can be found on the following websites so a membership is very valuable. Some websites require a code to join which if needed has been given.

 

Twinkl:

Twinkl is an online provider of resources some of the work that may be set using these. Web links will be provided on your child’s class page if this is the case. You will need to sign up to gain access to these resources.

Oxford Owl

Oxford owl is a website that offers the use of e-books. If your child is on colour banded books please select their colour in the filtering option. If your child uses numbered books please select books from their age range.

Classroom Secrets

Classroom secrets are an online platform that provides a number of resources that suit the needs of children’s learning across the core subjects in school. During closures they are offering parents free access to resources.

Times Table Rock Stars

Times table Rock Stars is a website/app that is used frequently by the children and builds on knowledge of multiplication and division.

Children from year 2 upwards have usernames and passwords which have been re-issued today.

Youtube

Youtube can be used to find some great educational videos of explanations of different calculations or information about different topics.

The above websites are great for general resources and will also be displayed of the class pages. Your class teacher may add any extra websites that are more specific to your child’s learning.
