Thursday 19th March 2020

Hello Beech Class,

I hope that you've all had a chance to have a look through your learning packs.

I will be posting on our page on Thursdays to keep to all updated with the learning tasks you should be getting on with.

Over the next week, I'd like for you to choose a book from home and read it with your family. I would then like for you to use the exercise book that you have been given to draw a story map (where we draw the parts of the story in the right order) to show me the story. I’d really like to see that you have added some sentences to tell me what happens.

I'd like for you to have a go playing the Lego addition and subtraction game with your family. Remember all of the skills we have learnt that can help us to add and subtract.

I'd like for you to use the letter formation work sheets and focus on the word I, once you have done this you can use your handwriting book to write out some sentences with I in. Perhaps, I like… or I am…

Before we went home from school, we started to learn about Oliver Cromwell. I'd like for you to use your exercise book to draw a picture of him and to record all of the information that you can remember about Oliver Cromwell. Can you teach your family all of the things you've learnt so far?

As we have learnt, it's important to keep fit and healthy. You can use this link to keep active.

Get creative! I wonder how you can share our pirate learning with your family at home. Perhaps you could build something using Lego or other building toys, you could draw or paint, you could act out your learning, create a song- I'm sure you can come up with even more amazing and creative ideas to share your learning with your family.

Keep working hard and have a super week!

From Miss Pritchard
