L.O. To tesselate repeating shapes.
You will need some squared paper for this investigation. You may need to enlarge the squares to make this easier to see. You can go on the link to see the investigation. There are slightly easier investigations, such as two by one, on the side of the page, but you could try the tetrafit if you are good at puzzles. There is an online version you can complete or you can make a paper version.
1. Use your squared paper to draw this red shape.
2. Draw an 8 x 8 square grid on the squared paper.
3. See if you can fit the red shape 16 times exactly onto the grid. You will need to rotate some to fit them in place, but it can be done!
