This week we are continuing with our learning all about Zog and the characters within the stories. In our challenge time we are thinking about how we can help Zog and what we can continue to create to help him. We are writing simple sentences in our literacy work and also reading our books to develop our phonic knowledge. We are really focusing on our keywords this week as they are very tricky! In maths we are ordering our numbers and making sure that we know the next number in the sequence is one more than. We are building our own numberblocks to help us. In our forest school this week we are using the story 'Dragon Stew' and creating our own concoctions! We are also investigating weighing and exploring musical instruments. We are discussing together what instrument could represent a dragon stomping, or soaring through the sky. We had to play them loudly and quietly to investigate!

Our learning walk was wonderful this week and we came up with some fantastic ideas on how we can help Zog. Please see the learning walk and photographs below for more information.
OUR FOREST SCHOOL WORK - MAKING DRAGON STEW!
In our forest school session we had to help make dragon stew! This was after reading the 'Dragon Stew' story where the Vikings wanted to eat a dragon! Zog asked us to make some more tasty stew for them so that they would leave all the dragons alone! We had to investigate all around us for ingredients and then discuss why we thought it would be tasty. We had lots of ideas, we thought of food that we liked and imagined that the materials were those! We had strawberries, lettuce, blackberries and even some water so that they would rehydrate!
