October 2025

Our new School Council members have been elected. There are members from years 3, 4, 5 and 6, with a representative from each key stage two class. The members were presented with their badges in the Celebration assembly and introduced to the rest of the school. Members will visit our key stage one classes to collect their views on matters and make sure their voices are heard too.

November 2025

The school council meetings began last month and will usually take place once a fortnight.

The current focus is to raise money for new lunchtime equipment. The council have kicked this off with making plans for stalls at the upcoming enterprise fair.

They will be hosting a "Guess the name of the teddy bear" stall and also selling stockings, sacks, gift bags and tree skirts. The team have been coming up with some fabulously unusual and christmassy names for our three bears, which are all up for grabs. 

December 2025

The 1st December was our school enterprise event, taking place in the hall after school had finished. The names of all three bears were successfully guessed and will be handed out on Thursday and Friday. The event had a great turnout and thank you to all those who attended. Two school council members who were visiting even jumped onto the stall to help without being asked and stayed to help pack up! What a great team we have!

July 2026

The school council met after the half term and came up with a list of fun activities that they would like for the school to take part in. Due to us already having lots on this term with sports days, productions and lots of fun trips, we decided to just choose one and save the rest for next year. The members came up with the idea of an art competition to give our pupil's chance to show off their creativity in any way that they could get onto a piece of A4 paper. The competition was very popular and we had so many beautiful entries- these are all now on display in the school hall. 

Last week, the entries were split into four groups; reception, KS1, LKS2 and UKS2. School council members were also split so that they did not judge their own year group or siblings. The members then chose their winners from the annonymous pictures- which was a VERY hard decision.

Congratulations to our winners: Jacob, Wiktor, Gavriella and Jayden who all won a prize and a certificate.
